Fiberglass hood scoop as original on 427 CSX competition cars and also offered as an option on 289 cars.
- These are as removed from the mold.
- They have smooth gel-coat outer and fiberglass textured cloth inner.
- The scoop opening needs to be trimmed out.
- The front edge can be trimmed straight per 60's cars.
- The flanges need to be fitted to the contour of your hood then laid out and drilled for screws or rivets.
- The hood scoop should be riveted or screwed to the top back center of the hood panel.
- This item was standard on competition cars and an option on street cars.
- The hood scoop draws cool air into the turkey pan or air cleaner to reduce the temperature of the intake air improving performance. Measures 13" wide, 23" long and 1-7/8" high.
- Will fit Acton Custom, Contemporary, CSX, ERA, Exact, Kirkham, Hi-Tech, Superformance and others.
